The ROMAin project

The ROMAin Project was approved by the European Commission in the framework of the "Second Transnational Exchange Programme". The project has two central objectives: the first is to promote the social inclusion of Roma in Europe based on successful experiences. The second is innovation in the design and application of social inclusion policies with Roma through transnational cooperation. The ROMAin Project is formed by a multicultural team, both Roma and non-Roma from different European Union countries including Spain, Finland, Romania and Belgium.

The project assures the active participation of Roma from different educational levels, social conditions and genders, whether through the project team itself or through the participation of Roma in the different instruments that are formed to this advantage: the Advisory Council of the project, formed in its entirety by Roma men and women and ERIN, European Roma Inclusion Network, where both formal (associations, foundations, study centres, Roma institutions), as well as non formalised groups and individuals can participate.
